Harold K. Aul, 82, Kersey

Harold K. Aul, 82, of Kersey, died on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Penn Highlands Dubois.

He was born on February 29, 1944, in Dubois, the son of the late Gladys Hayes Aul.

Harold leaves behind his beloved wife, Dorothy Smith, whom he married on September 18, 1961, sharing 65 wonderful years of marriage and a lifetime of memories together.

Harold was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent 40 years as a millwright at Keystone Powdered Metal. Away from work, he enjoyed the simple things in life, especially sitting back and watching the wildlife that visited his yard. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan who loved cheering on the Penguins and always enjoyed watching a Steelers game.

Above all, Harold treasured the time he spent with his family. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren, and he could often be found with a smile on his face as he took them for rides on the side-by-side.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children; Carrie Shutters of Ridgway, Stephen Aul of St. Marys, and Brian Aul and his wife Susan of Kane, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild who brought him great joy. He is also survived by 4 siblings, Karen Naugle of Falls Creek, Kevin (Kathy) Aul of Punxsutawney, Kim Lane of Reynoldsville, and Lori (Roger) Bovaird of Brockway, several nieces and nephews, a daughter-in-law, Kim Aul of St. Marys, and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Aul.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Michael Aul, a brother, Lynn Aul, and a son-in-law, Alvin Shutters Jr.

A Funeral Service for Harold K. Aul will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846.

Burial will follow at Earlyville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
