Ronald Serafini, 87, St. Marys

Ronald V. Serafini, 87, formerly of St. Marys, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Centre Care Nursing Home in Bellefonte, PA.

He was born on December 8, 1938 in Ridgway, PA, a son of the late Joseph Serafini, Sr. and Emma Castina Serafini.

A graduate of Brockway High School, Class of 1958, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. He later spent many years living and working in California, where he was employed as a museum technician at the San Diego Hall of Champions, a position that paired well with his appreciation for sports and history. Following his time in California, he remained active in his community and enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie he found at Marienstadt Place Apartments and as a member of the Moose Club and the Brockport Sportsmen's Club.

He is survived by one sister; Janice Herzing and her husband Dennis of State College, and by three nieces and one nephew; Lori (Ed) Hartman of Pittsburgh, Craig (Laura) Herzing of State College, Tina Serafini of Clearfield, and Kimberly Serafini Haney of Clearfield, as well as by numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother; Joseph Serafini, Jr., and by a nephew; Richard Herzing.

A Memorial Service for Ronald V. Serafini will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Ignatius Camello officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

Burial will follow in the Brandy Camp Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
