Isaac Vogt named 2026 Kreckel Enterprises Inc. ECCHS Student of the Year

On Friday morning Kreckel Enterprises Inc. presented the 2026 Student of the

Year award to Isaac Vogt who is a member of the Senior Class at Elk County

Catholic High School. Isaac is the son of Dale and Jen Vogt of St. Marys.

Isaac is the ninth winner of the award presented each year by the Kreckel

Family. The award is presented in memory of Lavern Kreckel Jr. who was a

member of the Elk County Christian High School Class of 1963. Kreckel went

on to work at Powder Metal Products and MPP Washington Street Division as a

Tool and Die Maker for 45 years. Kreckel was also well known in local

industry having owned a seconday machine shop in the 70's and 80's and later

establishing Kreckel Enterprises in 1997 with his son Vern. Kreckel loved

his job, and he loved to work hard, and always made a point to mentor his

employees to enccourage them to work in local industry. Upon his passing in

2017 the Kreckel family etablished the award to recognize outstanding

students at ECCHS. Past winners include William Wortman 2025, Isabella Macer

2024, Adam Straub 2023, Holly Buttery 2022, Olivia Matha 2021, Maddison

Taylor 2020, Isaac Gradl 2019, and Kendra Smithbauer 2018.


The Kreckel family wishes to thank the faculty and staff at Elk County

Catholic High School, Jill Struble, John Schneider, Coach Aaron Straub, and

ECCSS President Ted Hanes for helping with the presentation. Many thanks to

Kennedy Signs, Taylor Glass Specialists, and Dave's Pro Shop for helping

with the award materials and componets. The Kreckel family extends

congratulations to Isaac for all of his accomplishments!
