Katherine L. “Jane” Lucore, 94, Penfield

Katherine L. “Jane” Lucore, age 94, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Penfield, PA, died July 15, 2026 at Christ the King Manor after a short illness. A daughter of the late Robert and Mary Venna (Lansberry) Kephart, she was born on December 29, 1931 in Clearfield, PA. On February 17, 1951 she married Glaydon Quay Lucore who preceded her in death on June 30, 2015.

Besides her parents and her husband, Jane was predeceased by a son, William Lucore, eight brothers and one sister.

Jane is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Jerry Barefoot) Lucore of Cary, NC and Linda (William) Parris of North Tonawanda, NY; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel Kephart of Penfield and Thomas Kephart of Melbourne, FL; and a sister, Betsy Kruckenberg.

Jane was born and raised in PA, moved to North Tonawanda in 1953 and came back to PA in 1994. She enjoyed traveling and camping with the Coachman Caravan Club. She retired from K-Mart in 1994. She was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church until her return to PA. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral Services will be held, 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA with Reverend Don Smith.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, prior to the services, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place next to her husband in the Beechwoods Cemetery of Falls Creek, PA.
