Mary Ann Samick, 93, of 523 N. St. Marys Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
She was born August 28, 1932 in Byrnedale, daughter of the late John and Mary Wilk Rezsutek. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Weedville High School.
Mary Ann was a devoted homemaker who took great pride caring for family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Over the years, she also worked at Loblaws and Bell’s, where she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly presence.
On November 9, 1957, in St. Joseph’s Church, she married the late Ralph L. Samick, who preceded her in death on January 15, 2018.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons, John “Jack” Samick (Louise) of St. Marys and Jeffrey Samick of DuBois; three grandchildren: Samantha Samick, Nicole Garbic, and Brian Samick (Tessa); five great-grandchildren: Austin, Deacon, and Tucker Garbic, and Wyatt and Stevie Samick; a brother, John Rezsutek of St. Marys; and a sister-in-law, Georgia Rezsutek of St. Marys.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann “Dolly” Rezsutek; a brother, Andy Rezsutek; half-sister, Agnes Rebo; and half-brother, Joseph Rebo.
Mary Ann was a devoted mother, loving family member, and faithful servant of God who touched the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family and faith, always placing the needs of others above her own. She created a home filled with love, kindness, and faith. Her strength, patience, and generosity were felt not only by her children but by everyone blessed to be part of her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00AM with Rev. Stephen Collins, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
A Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 8:45AM until 9:30AM.
