Michael A. Palamarchuck, 77, Emporium

Michael A. Palamarchuck, 77, of Emporium, PA, passed away at his residence on Sunday afternoon (February 8, 2026). He was born on June 19, 1948, in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Paul and Lydia Sidelinger Palamarchuck.


Mike was a graduate of Cameron County High School and Lock Haven University, and furthered his education by receiving his Master's degree from Ithaca College. He served proudly as a Navy Corpsman before dedicating more than 30 years to education and athletics. He served as an educator and athletic trainer, and retired from St. Marys Area High School. He was a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.


Athletics and fitness were lifelong passions for Mike. As a young man, he achieved success on the football field and was recognized as a Northern Tier All-Star while in high school. His love for physical fitness continued throughout his life as he competed in numerous athletic events. He also had a green thumb and used those skills for years with his vegetable garden.


A loving father and grandfather, Mike will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his dedication, strength, and encouragement of others.


Mike is survived by two sons, Michael Palamarchuck (Juvie) and Mark Palamarchuck (Carrie); two grandchildren, Nathan and Rachel Palamarchuck; and one brother, Kevin Palamarchuck.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Palamarchuck.


There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA, on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church, Ridgway, as Celebrant.
