Philip L. Regulski, 90, of Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on December 14, 1935, in Byrndale, the son of the late Stanley and Veronica Cuneo Regulski.

On November 5, 1960, at Queen of The World Church, he married the late Arlene Hasselman, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2025.

Phil dedicated much of his working life to the telecommunications industry, retiring after many years of service with Alltel Telephone Company. A true "car guy" at heart, he had a lifelong passion for automobiles and could often be found with a wrench in hand. His mechanical talent led him to spend many years working at Bjorkquist's Garage.

Phil was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the survey ship U.S.S. Requisite, and he cherished the friendships and experiences he gained during his military service. He especially enjoyed sharing stories from his time in the Navy with family and friends. Phil was also a dedicated volunteer, serving for many years as a driver for the Disabled American Veterans, ensuring fellow veterans could get to their appointments. Firefighting was another of Phil's greatest passions. He faithfully served with the fire department for most of his life, holding numerous officer positions and taking great pride in supporting his department. He thoroughly enjoyed working the carnival and being part of the Capital City Kitchen with some of his best friends. He also spent over 30 years volunteering at the Food Bank.

He is survived by 2 sons, Donald Regulski of St. Marys and Joe Regulski and his wife Melissa of Ridgway, and 3 grandchildren; David, Sara, and Everly.

Phil was an avid runner who found peace and purpose on the Rails to Trails, where he could be found nearly every day. He participated in numerous 5K races over the years, encouraging his grandchildren to run with him. Phil and Arlene loved traveling and camping, having traveled throughout the U.S and Europe.

Yet, of all the titles he held throughout his life, the one he treasured most was that of husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He cherished the love he shared with Arlene and he enjoyed being the steady presence his family could always count on. To those who knew him best, Phil was more than a husband, father, and grandfather-he was their anchor, advocate, mentor, role model, and confidant. The legacy he leaves behind is not measured by the miles he ran or the work he accomplished, but by the lives he shaped, the values he instilled, and the unwavering love he gave to the family he was so incredibly proud of.
