Pennsylvania anglers, it’s time to gear up for another exciting trout season! The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) has released the 2026 Trout Stocking Schedule, and the most up-to-date information is available online at www.fishandboat.com. Stocking dates may change due to weather or water conditions, so we encourage you to check the schedule regularly. For more information, you can read the PFBC's press release here.

The PFBC has also announced key dates:

• Mentored Youth Trout Fishing Day: Saturday, March 28, starting at 8 a.m.

• Opening Day of Trout Season: Saturday, April 4, statewide at 8 a.m.

Youth anglers under age 16 can participate in Mentored Youth Day with a free permit or voluntary youth license, available online or through local issuing agents.

Don’t forget fishing licenses and trout permits are required for anglers age 16 and older. Licenses, launch permits, and boat registration renewals can be purchased online at huntfish.pa.gov or through local licensing agents.

You can also visit my DuBois or St Mary’s office to pick up a hardcopy of the stocking lists. There are only a limited number available, so grab one soon!
