Thomas J. Brennen, 90, St. Marys

Thomas J. Brennen, 90, of 205 Martin Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Wednesday, October 7, 2026.


He was born August 13, 1936, in St. Marys, son of the late Alfred and Julia Caskey Brennen. He was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1955. He started his career at Keystone in 1957 where he was a Foreman, retiring after forty-two years of service with the company.


On July 6, 1957, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tom married Patricia Schutz, who survives. They were blessed with sixty-nine years of marriage.


In addition to his wife Patty, he is survived by two sons: Steven C. Brennen (Michele) of Ridgway and Randal B. Brennen of Kersey; four grandchildren: David (Natasha), Michael (Tiffany), Danielle, and Andy; three great-grandchildren: Ethan, Leia, and Deklyn; one step-great-grandchild, Leah; a brother, Ronald Brennen (Lorene) of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Catherine “Peanie” Brennen; and numerous nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by nine sisters: Mary Rita Heindl, Alice Trost, Verna Ropelewski, Isabelle Buerk, Julia Dippold, Eva Marie Stauffer, Patty Herzing, Joan Lee, and in infancy, Sophie Ann Brennen; six brothers: J. Maynard, Donald, Charles “Bud”, William, Alfred “Bub”, and in infancy, John Edward Brennen.


Tom was an active parishioner of Queen of the World Church where he would volunteer his time working in the cafeteria and at Bingo as well as sharing his expertise around the church property. He was a kind and modest man who enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and going to camp.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:45AM with Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held privately for Tom’s family.
