Doris A. Neubert, 80, Wilcox

Doris A. Neubert, 80, of Wilcox, passed away early Thursday morning, October 1, 2026, at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 13, 1946, in Kane, a daughter to the late Thomas and Betty Hulings Stewart. On May 5, 1973, in St. Callistus Church, Kane, she married LeRoy J. Neubert. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2013.

Doris was a 1965 graduate of Kane High School and was a member of the Kane Community Methodist Church. She resided in Wilcox since her marriage and was a member of the Jones Twp. Senior Center and the Wilcox American Legion Aux. She had worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. and Peterson Studios.

Doris is survived by her children Jason Neubert and Jolene Neubert and her grandchildren, which were her pride and joy, Alayna Cornelius, Jenna Cornelius and Conner Neubert.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law Maryanne Peterson (Ron), Marilyn Stanko and Joanne Snook (Frank) and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris is predeceased by siblings Sherry Brechtel and Terry Stewart in infancy, brothers-in-law Timothy Brechtel and Byron Stanko and a nephew Arthur Brechtel.

Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for Doris A. Neubert to be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, on Saturday October 10, 2026, at 11 AM with Rev. Calvin Cook, Pastor of the Kane Community Methodist Church as officiant.

Interment will be in Wilcox Cemetery.

There will be visitation with family for one hour before the service on Saturday at 11 AM.

If desired, contributions in memory of Doris should be made to the Kane Community Methodist Church, Wilcox Fire Department or the American Society.
