Martha M. Cavallett, 64, Kersey

Martha M. Cavallett, 64, of Kersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.

She was born on July 30, 1960 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph Resch and Margaret Kofler Resch, who survives, of Kersey.

On October 15, 1998, she married Joseph Cavallett, who survives. Together they shared more than 40 years of true love and happiness.

Martha was a member of St. Boniface Church and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1978. She attended cosmetology school, and enjoyed styling hair for her friends and family throughout the years. Together with her husband, Martha owned and operated a small ice cream shop, scooping ice cream and visiting with customers, always with a smile on her face. What she loved most in life was gardening, and was happiest when tending to her plants, flowers and vegetables.

In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by her beloved daughter; Jen Ajer and her husband, Nick, of Newport Beach, CA. She is also survived by three siblings; Joseph (Shelly) Resch of Kersey, Thomas Resch of Kersey and Joanne (Denny) Dinsmore of St. Marys, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and Committal Services for Martha M. Cavallett are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society or to a favorite charity.
