Mary Ann Lewis, 67, Ridgway

Mary Ann Lewis, 67, of Ridgway, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Penn Highlands Elk.

She was born on January 9, 1958, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Clifford L. and Geraldine Rousch Vantassel.

On April 22, 1978, Mary Ann married Hallie L. Lewis Jr., who preceded her in death on July 26, 2022. Together they shared more than 44 years of love and marriage.

Mary Ann graduated from Ridgway High School. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her husband. They could often be found fishing or visiting people who were camping. In her free time she enjoyed watching game shows. More than anything, she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and love filled her heart with happiness.

She is survived by her 3 children; Erma Vantassel of Indiana, Michelle (Jereme) Freeburg of Ridgway, and Greg Lewis of Ridgway, by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 siblings; Erma Jean (James) Yale, Ron Vantassel, Clifford Vantassel Jr., Kenny Vantassel, and David Vantassel.

In addition to her parents Mary Ann was preceded in death by a sister; Virginia Wickett.

A Funeral Service for Mary Ann Lewis will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Pastor Ron Burkett officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
